One week before WWDC, MacosXrumors has obtained some very exciting reports from anonymous sources. The reports reveal features of Apple's next generation operating system, Mac OS X Leopard. Among the biggest revelations of these recent reports is that virtual desktops are finally arriving on Mac OS X, allowing users to arrange their windows in a much larger workspace than currently. Another important improvement on Leopard is file syncing. The .Mac-based file syncing is now account-wide and not only for contacts, mail, calendars and keychains as it is the case on Tiger. Sources also told us that syncing has its own API, allowing any developer to implement .Mac file syncing in its software very easily. Sources could not confirm our reports from last year of a totally revamped Finder. However, they claimed that Spotlight performance has been significantly improved and that the whole system's look and feel now fits better with iLife '06. We feel very excited with these recent reports that we believe are very reliable, because they are consistent with earlier reports. Once again, this year's WWDC will be huge with major announcements in both software and hardware. Until then, any additional information is welcome in our mail-box. Bookmark/Search this post with:
