Our recent report on the features of Mac OS X Leopard has fueled new reports from anonymous sources that confirmed recent revelations and added some crucial information. As mentioned in an earlier report, Apple's calendar application iCal should see dramatic improvements as the application was apparently rewritten from scratch, bringing some "collaborative features". Recent reports confirmed this piece of information. At least one new iChat feature has also been revealed with these new reports. The next release of Apple's chat and audio-video conferencing application supports tabbed chats. Regarding the rumoured enhancements of iChat's VoIP features, although we have already heard of it from unverified sources, no confirmation was provided by recent reports. Apple did not forget developers with this major release. In addition to the previously mentioned file-syncing API, CoreData will also be improved in terms of performance and XCode will bring many features, including code refactoring. Other improvements include performance of CoreImage and CoreVideo and some new widgets. Sources did not confirm the previously reported by MacosXrumors presence of a virtualization feature or the ability to share a document in collaborative mode but told us that they have not seen all the features of the system yet. Rumours on a feature that includes 3D effects and other details with screenshots were also reported on other sites. We couldn't have any confirmation about these rumours though. This year's WWDC has fueled an impressive number of rumour reports on the net. We hope that, even more impressive features than those reported here and in other sites will be showed on Monday and we're actually quite confident that Apple has indeed more to show. UPDATE: - We're not sure about the version number of Leopard's XCode. Sources say it might be updated to 2.4 for Tiger and 3.0 for Leopard. - As argued in many forums, reliable sources, as well as readers believe that the screenshots on PowerPage are fakes.
