UPDATEx2: Orange officially confirms the plans below. The unlocked version of the iPhone is priced UPDATE: During an interview for the French radio Europe 1, France Telecom's CEO, Didier Lombard confirmed the information below. He added that as many as 100 000 iPhones are expected to be sold in France by the end of the year. Meanwhile, translated iPhone ads are airing on French TV since late last week. France Telecom's mobile sbsidiary, Orange, will offer to its France-based iPhone customers similar subscription plans to those announced in other European countries, reports on the Internet confirm.

UPDATEx3: The support note is now back. UPDATEx2: We tried to reach an Apple PR rep so as to obtain more information on the matter but no one was available to talk to us. UPDATE: Apple has removed the support note mentioned in our report. We don't think it means the issue is fixed though because as it was stated on the note itself, the document should have been "updated as more information becomes available". Apple has issued a support note mentioning graphic issues on the latest generation of MacBooks released earlier this month.
