A iPhone firmware update numbered 1.1.3 is rumoured be ready for a release very soon. Reports with videos showing the new features started appearing on the Internet.

UPDATE: The New York Times confirms that Apple will start rental movies in January and adds that Apple has reached deals with more than one studio. According to the Financial Times, Apple and the 20th Century Fox studios may have signed a deal allowing Apple to rent movies from the studio via iTunes.

Apple has posted a new "Get-A-Mac" ad on its web site called "Santa Claus". This one shows animated versions of the "Mac" and "PC" characters as well as Santa Claus.
