Apple is reportedly readying to release Mac OS X 10.4.8 update as it has seeded a new pair builds to developers, numbered "8L2125" (Intel) and "8L125" (PowerPC) and qualified as mature, with no known issues reported.
According to seed notes we have previously received for builds 8L2108 (Intel) and 8L108 (PowerPC), this update will bring improved stability and performance, enhancements towards AFP, DVD Player, iCal, iPhoto, Mail And Safari.
Apple also appears to be working on improvements to the system's underlying components, including Fonts, graphics, modem usage, networking, the Rosetta emulation environment and printing.
The update, which weights approximatively 200MB for the Intel version and 30MB for the PowerPC version may also bring support for the yet to be released Core 2 Duo based Apple notebooks.
